Pop Race started because a group of car lovers wanted to pack as much real-world detail as possible into 1:64 scale models.
Remember, small doesn’t mean cheap and nasty! Pop Race are mini cars that are made for those who care about realism and attention to detail.
Pop Race also manage to keep things realistic without going over the top or getting too weird with the designs. Every brand has a few models that miss the mark, but with Pop Race, I’ve seen way fewer of those “ewww” castings. Most of their stuff just looks clean, simple and well thought-out.
Car Variety
Pop Race has released a bunch of different cars, including European, Japanese, and American models. But if you pay attention, you’ll see they really focus on two main types: JDM and German cars.
There are several versions of the GR Yaris, along with Honda Civics, Supras, Skylines, and more. On the German side, they’ve done some great Volkswagen Golfs and Porsches. They also throw in a few supercars, exotics, and American muscle cars, but their main focus seems to be Japanese and German stuff.
If you’re into either of those styles, Pop Race has a lot to offer.
Is Pop Race Licensed?
Unfortunately for those who prefer licensed models, most Pop Race cars are not fully licensed.
Licenses are on a car by car basis. However most of them are only partially licensed. They tend to have the license to body kits and performance shops. This means a car will be released as a Pandem Civic, or RWB 997 instead of a fully licensed Honda Civic or Porsche 997.
Displaying Pop Race cars
There are 2 type of diecast collectors, ones who open and those who dont.
Pop Race cars look great when opened. However, you don’t have to take them out of the box for them to look good. The packaging is clean, sturdy, and makes the car feel premium even before you open it
